Cittadino salami and Ungherese salami.

The Cittadino and the Ungherese salami are Effesalumi references that have been consolidated in the last few years: the recipe for the so-called "large salami" is now recognized and appreciated.

They have a cylindrical shape, with a diameter of approximately 10 cm and a weight of approximately 3.5 kg.

The Cittadino and the Ungherese salami can be sold as such or vacuum-packed, but also washed and peeled (depending on customer needs) and have been designed to be sliced at the counter, for companies that prepare sliced meats in trays for self-service, but also for other companies such as producers of sandwiches, sandwiches and other typical ready-to-eat products.

After a long planning process, Mr. Fumagalli managed to find ad hoc ingredients, specific casings and, above all, the right seasoning that enhances tastes, flavors and aromas.

In all this innovation, the "Origin: Italy" of the pork meat and the absence of allergens have been maintained (EU Reg. 1169/2011), in particular the "gluten-free", "lactose-free", and “milk derivatives-free” claims are highlighted on the label.

The Cittadino and the Ungherese have certainly led to an expansion of the range of Effesalumi products, but also to embracing a larger market share on the Italian territory, diversifying the type of customers to sell their products.

More in deep, the Cittadino is so called because it is the classic Salame Milano, finely ground "with rice grain".

When cut, the Cittadino presents a compact, red slice, which highlights the uniform grinding of the lean and fatty pork meat.

The sweet, delicate and sweet tastes of the Cittadino are enhanced by cutting the salami into thin slices, ideal both for filling sandwiches for snacks or picnics, and for serving it at the table as an appetizer, accompanied by red wines.

Ungherese salami, on the other hand, is characterized by a very fine grain and compact consistency.

When cut, the slice appears red with white dots.

The Ungherese should be enjoyed in thin slices, accompanied with bread and a good glass of red wine, so as to savor the sweet taste, rich in aromas and the scent of smoking.
